Impossible reversal of terminal heart disease

Man with end-stage heart disease was given 6 months to live. His arteries were filled with plaque
Discovers a radical treatment buried in the scientific literature that literally no one knows about
Treats himself and tracks all of his biomarkers. After less than 2 months:
– Right carotid plaque down by 36% and 27%
– Triglycerides down by 75%
Still alive, and his name is Kyle Hodgetts
Goes on to coauthor and publish his n= 1 data
The “obscure treatment” = Beta-Cyclodextrin (hydroxypropyl-B-cyclodextrin)
A molecule with such widespread use that it essentially can’t be patented, and is currently being investigated in early trials for its efficacy on a wider scale. Indeed, it can be purchased by anyone online.
And it is entirely possible that it turns out to be a major challenge to multi-billion dollar statin industry, and it has very few reported side effects.
Kyle eventually set up a company making a version of cyclodextrin which can be administered rectally, due to its poor oral bioavailability.
The simplified proposed mechanism of action:
– Binds cholesterol esters and sterols, carries them out of the body (via urine)
– Dissolves cholesterol crystals
– Restore endothelial nitric oxide synthase
– Activates the LXR pathway

How B1 Problems Can Hide In The Brain While Blood Tests Look Normal

A normal blood or urine test may still miss a thiamine problem that is localized to a specific part of the brain. This clip explains how researchers have reported region-specific or functional B1 abnormalities in Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s, and other neurodegenerative conditions, including problems with transporting thiamine into vulnerable brain tissue. It also looks at animal research using high-dose B1 with biotin, and why these findings have led to further human investigation.
